I loved staying here! David and Armando were fantastic, the area is walkable and close to the metro and Capitol building, and the area is very safe. highly recommend!

David and Armando are great hosts just as you see in all their reviews. They are very kind, attentive and help from the check in until the last minute. The place is very comfortable, especially the bed, I suffer from insomnia and here, I slept like a baby! The kitchen has everything you need to cook so it’s a great place to stay for brief internships, touristing on a budget, etc. Dogs are the sweetest and don’t disturb at all. The neighborhood is very quiet and walkable, a CVS and Trader Joe is very close as well as the Metro for easy access to all the important places in DC. I would definitely try to stay here next time! I had the best time here, despite DC being in lockdown when I arrived. I can't imagine staying anywhere better, it was a perfect place to stay for a three-month research fellowship at the Smithsonian. David and Armando are considerate, welcoming and responsive hosts. The room is very comfortable and nicely decorated, like a luxury hotel room, with plenty of space. Also good for studying - quiet, it has a desk, lamps, excellent wifi. The kitchen is a good size for cooking and eating in, and well equipped. Amazing also to have very good, complimentary coffee machine coffee. I've given 'accuracy' 4 stars in my review only because it's so much nicer than the pictures! - the photos of the room and kitchen do not do them justice at all. It's a very large house and doesn't feel crowded or noisy even when all four guest rooms are occupied; it's well spread out. Great to meet other researchers and interns from all over the world during my stay too. The house is in a brilliant location, walking distance to the National Mall, and very close to the metro for exploring further afield. It's a very pretty area, and surprisingly quiet for being in Capitol Hill. Lots of good, inexpensive food places nearby. Also walking distance to the river at the Navy Yards, where the Yellow café's back patio is the best spot for writing in the mornings - worth purchasing the very good but pricey coffee for. And finally, a review would not be complete without mentioning Molly and Corey - if you're not a dog fan, you don't need to hang out with them but they are lovely. Overall, this Airbnb provided everything I needed and was so much more than I was expecting; I really felt at home here.
