Rothbury · 整套平房 · 3室4床2.0卫 · 可住6人 · A Luxury Country Escape
Nestled in the trees overlooking the market town of Rothbury lies a beautiful modern 3 bedroom bungalow with an exquisite kitchen diner, great for entertaining or cosy family meals. The cottage has been designed for those wanting to relax in a luxurious peaceful setting, and has been recently fitted out with high quality appliances, fixtures and fittings. At the front of the property is a spacious living room complete with log burner and stunning views of Rothbury and the Coquet valley. The facilities include an integrated fridge/freezer, 2 x electric fan ovens, large electric ceramic hob, microwave, Nespresso machine, dishwasher, washing machine and tumble dryer. There is a large smart TV in both the lounge and kitchen diner, and the wifi is excellent.
We had a fantastic week here - would recommend to anyone. The house benefits from fabulous views and an amazing landscaped back garden, which is secure for those of us bringing doggy friends. Everything was spotless, comfy beds and a great kitchen for hanging out. Netflix and two big tvs made our younger travellers happy. Best welcome basket I’ve had in a holiday cottage too. House is in a great location, around 30 mins to the coast and an hour inland to the Roman sites of Vinolanda and Housesteads. Would go back in a heartbeat.
This is an exceptional Airbnb...the description is totally accurate...but even that cannot prepare you for the absolutely magical views from the property, the delightful rear garden and the summer house where early evening drinks can be enjoyed! A particularly well equipped kitchen and great sized tvs...the beds were very comfortable and the two bathrooms good too...we appreciated the large sized towels! Excellent communication with Simon and a very full information folder with lots of advice about things to do, places to see etc. A welcome basket of goodies was a lovely touch...thank you.
The house was advertised as having a dryer that was not present. This was unsurprisingly highly inconvenient given our extended stay and the normal weather for the area. Without any other method to dry clothes during the trip it was a constant struggle as our stay exceeded our clothing supply. It was particularly galling that the owner suggested we use a cleaning service in amble, 30 minute drive away (no they do not serve the post code for the house). The owner knew before our arrival that the dryer was not going to be present but did not mention it to us until asked and responded with “oh we thought it would be sunny enough to dry them”. It wasn’t. There just seemed a lack of care on the part of the owners; we arrived to 2 garbage bags, 2 dishwasher tabs and 1/2 cup of detergent for an 11day stay. The cleaner was meant to drop more by but something or other stopped them from doing so. The shower door tracks were badly worn resulting in them coming off if you looked at them slightly askance. Again the owner was unbothered by this but it was a pita to have to laboriously rehang the doors on their tracks every morning. Other than that the house was great and Rothbury awesome. It just wasn’t as advertised and frankly overpriced given the lack of care and attention to the basics.
Came to stay at Simon's for Christmas and what a wonderful home it is, they made it look cery festive and lovely touches everywhere!
Stayed in this amazing house for a few days. It is decorated and furnished to a very high standard not often found in a holiday let. The kitchen is so well equipped and spacious as was the rest of the house. The beds were so comfortable and made up with high quality bedding. The views from the house are spectacular over Rothbury and the surrounding area. The garden is a great space too and beautifully landscaped with several seating areas and a summerhouse which in warmer weather would be used fully.
At Whitton View you can truly have the best of both worlds. Place a food delivery from one of the great local restaurants and unwind in front of the fire with a good book. Or spend your holiday outdoors with one of the many woodland walks, while exploring the nearby towns and villages. Walk into Rothbury and sample one of the 5 pubs, pick up freshly baked bread from the local bakery and your dinner with produce from the local butchers. Explore the National Trust site, Cragside or an abundance of walks in the Cheviot Valley.
Private parking is available and can accommodate up to 4 cars. There is also a double garage.
