Kasese · 公寓里的独立房间 · 1室2床1.0卫 · 可住2人 · Hopeworth Children Foundation's Apartment
Hello! My name is Masika, I am 29 and I welcome you to my home. It's a modern apartment located in the Kilembe Quarters. It is tiled in all rooms, it has a small kitchen with stove, oven, steel sink, fridge and freezer, a living room with sofas and satellite TV, a small balcony. I have my bedroom with en-suite bathroom. For Airbnb guests there is a bedroom with two beautiful queen sized single beds and a private bathroom with a hot shower. I provide bed sheets and bath towels First of all, it is important to say that all the rental fees I get on Airbnb are totally in favor of the Hopeworth Children Foundation for which I am the founder and sole responsible. Hopeworth is the home of 20 beautiful orphaned children, whose life I take care of 100%, supporting all the costs of food, school, medical care, clothing etc. While staying at my place, if you like, you can have the opportunity to experience, firsthand and from the inside, what it means to physically manage a structure that houses 20 orphaned children, with all its needs, difficulties, critical issues, but above all joys, affection, smiles and hugs that you will be hit with, every time you decide to go there. In fact, Hopeworth Children Foundation is only 6 km away from my apartment and I go there every day. Kids age ranges from 4 to 13, they all speak english and are very eager to meet visitors. An experience that I recommend to everyone, even if only for a day.
A simple appartement in the midle of à livefull town, a wonderful and helpful host , the money spent there goes to an orphenage. Définitivement worth it
Such a great experience. The room is great for two people. Masika is a great host and if you have to check out the orphanage I’d highly recommend it. They’re a really intelligent group of kids.

Kasese is a town north of Lake George in the Western Region of Uganda. It originally grew around the copper mine at Kilembe, while attention later turned to cobalt mining. It is the chief town of Kasese District, and the district headquarters are located there. Kasese is also the largest town in the Rwenzururu region.
The key tourist attractions of the district are:
1. Queen Elizabeth National Park
About half of Queen Elizabeth National Park is found in Kasese district. The key tourism areas of the Park found in Kasese district include the Kazinga Channel, Lake George, Lake Katwe, Mubuku and Kilembe. The key areas also include the game-drive tracks in the north of the Park, which are home to enormous numbers of kobs, statunga, water-hogs, elephants, buffalos and several families of lions.
2. Rwenzori Mountains National Park
The Park covers the areas of Mountain Rwenzori that are found in Uganda. Mountain climbing, through the dense montane forest and the breath taking hazardous terrain, to the equatorial snow covered peaks is the main attraction. Other attractions include the unique vegetation, Glacier Rivers, primates and wonder features such as deep gorges along the trails.
3. Kibale Forest National Park
Part of Kibale Forest National Park is found in Kasese district. The Park is a one of the remaining natural rainforest reserves recognized internationally. The popularity of the Park as a tourist destination is enhanced by the presence of large varieties of birds and primates especially chimpanzees.
The Park’s main tourist package includes forest/nature/primate/community walks, night primate walks, chimpanzee tracking and bird watching.
However, the Park is best accessed via Kabalore district where the road infrastructure to the Park is well developed.
4. Crafts and Souvenir Industry
Although most of the items sold in the craft shops were either from districts in central Uganda or imported from Kenya, a few locally made souvenirs were available in the craft shops and the main market in Kasese town.
The crafts and souvenir industry has a large potential in Kasese district determined by the tourist traffic and easily available renewable source of raw materials from the wetlands and in the settlements.
The center of Kasese is a few hundred meters away but just below the house it is very easy to get a boda boda (motorcycle taxi) which at the cost of 1,000 UGX (€ 0.25) will take you everywhere.
