We cannot be thankful enough for this spot. Our Thanksgiving was outstanding, and this home is everything that is advertised. The host is absolutely the best ever, very responsive and answered all questions. Waking up early in the morning and going into the evening the 'deer' would cross the field everyday providing that mountain reality that was unexpected. Easy access to the city for making a restaurant or grocery store run made this an ideal treasure. Highly recommend, John, Tammy and Nisi

This was our second stay here because we liked it so much the first time. It truly feels like a home away from home. What a beautiful house and stunning location! The house is clean and very well-equipped. The porch overlooking the pond and hills beyond is what truly sets it apart. We spent hours just drinking in the quiet and beauty and ate all our meals on the porch. There was plenty to keep our kids happy...fishing in the pond, exploring the spring further up in the hills, walking up the road to North Carolina and picking wild blackberries along the way. We highly recommend Watauga Lake and Roan Mountain nearby. If you want a quiet, beautiful, restful location to reconnect as a family, then this is the place for you.

This home is beautiful, impeccably stocked and most of all the location is peaceful and tranquil. Baxter and Susan were a pleasure to work with and very quick to respond. Hope to visit again in the fall. Thanks for making a birthday weekend riding the Creeper trail even more memorable!! Thanks again! M
