Our stay at Fishcakes was 100% relaxing. We were so well looked after by our host providing a place of serene simplicity with all our necessities being luxurious and well met. A very unique experience to enjoy in such a special place.
Brilliant location and incredible view
We LOVED our stay at Fish Cakes & Julie was a great host. It is a naturally relaxing property & we'll definitely go back. The gardens are gorgeous, the design is really clever and the view is to die for. Great linen, tasteful furnishings & extras included. I'll be picky and honest as there were some things we all agreed you'd expect at a property in this price range: - a real shower and/or bath. the garden hose showers are fine for outside when you get back from the beach, but we all would have liked to have a nice hands free shower. You can still keep with the 'surfclub bathroom' feel without them. - a freezer in the kitchen (there's an old chest freezer downstairs that self locks pretty tight once you open and close it and it takes about 1/2hr to get back in) - an oven - newer washer & dryer - the mattresses were ok but probably need upgrading for a property of this calibre. The one in the middle room was rock hard. - there was a slight smell of mould in the middle room. Thanks
This is our second time at Fishcakes and we intend to make it an annual gig. Where to start? Julie the Fishcakes property manager is sensational; instantly responsive, knowledgeable and always ultra helpful. The property is to die for; the proximity to the beach, the out of the world vistas and everything you could ever seemingly need or want is at the property. We brought a six month old infant this time and all little person requirements (cots, baby baths, high chairs etc) are on site alleviating the need to bring them. Seal Rocks itself is stunningly beautiful; sparkling clear water, surfing nearby and brilliant snorkeling as well with rays, wobbegongs and turtles spotted. The best experience - can't wait for our next visit already!
