The house and property exceeded our expectations. The house was beautiful and the view was priceless. The sounds of nature and an occasional boat passing by provided us with a lovely and relaxing stay. Scott and Melinda generously gifted us with fresh eggs from their sweet flock of hens. We are already looking at dates so that we can return soon to take advantage of the many activities on the water. We would also plan better to prepare our own meals- the kitchen had everything and the atmosphere of this gorgeous property is the best- we hated to leave. Our group visited the Blackwater National Refuge and the Harriet Tubman Visitor Center- highly recommend! We had a phenomenal weekend.
Scott and Melinda was a great host with a beautiful home. The house has an amazing view. We ate fresh eggs everyday from the host. The kids had a great spring break. Thank you so much for a wonderful memories. We will def be back when the weather gets warmer for crabbing and fishing. Wayne

Scott and Melinda were fantastic hosts and communicators. Their home and property was amazing. More pros and cons: PROS - Great house that was well stocked and super clean - Great communication and host availability since they are onsite at lower level - Panoramic view from the house was priceless - Lots of activities (lawn games, crab traps available, 4 kayaks plus 2 paddle boards, fire pit plus ample wood to burn) plus two hammocks were great - Hosts have cute chickens onsite which made for farm fresh eggs every day during our stay, and Scott and Melinda graciously offered us more, but there was plenty for our family of 4 CONS - While their home was fantastic, the towns leading us to the property were sketchy, isolated, and not much to do or eat immediately nearby (Walmart was our highlight lol) - Although out of anyone’s control, there are lots of mosquitoes Thanks for an amazing stay, Scott and Melinda. This place is incredible! It’s very cozy, in a great location, with some breathtaking views. Perfect for a relaxing getaway. Scott & Melinda are great and made the visit as smooth as it could be. Made some lifelong memories here. Easy 10/10!

自我介绍
Scott & Melinda love living on Brooks Creek - just a short paddle to the Chesapeake Bay. Laying in a hammock, relaxing with the bay breeze a few years ago, watching a beautiful sunset, convinced us this was where we are meant to be. We hope you fall in love with those bay breezes and incredible sunsets as well. We last lived in the beautiful Adirondack Mountains in upstate New York where the winters are long and cold but beautiful. We decided we needed to defrost so we moved to the also beautiful Eastern Shore. Scott & Melinda purchased this house in 2018. Why Scott & Melinda chose Dorchester County We first experienced the Eastern Shore when we attended the Waterfowl Festival in Easton many years ago. This is a fantastic event and enjoy going every year (except 2020 COVID year). The festival is typically held the second weekend in November and is the area's signature event. We enjoy everything about the festival, especially the quality artists and of course the she-crab soup. We now love to visit the restaurants and shops in the area's small eclectic towns of St Michaels, Easton, Oxford and Trappe. We enjoy the Chesapeake's seasonal bounties of crabs, oysters, and rockfish. Every now and then we get the urge to go to the beach and enter the hectic hustle and bustle of Ocean City and quickly remember why we love it here. What makes this house unique On a warm summer evening, with a cool bay breeze, swing on the deck swing with your loved one and feel your stresses and worries melt away.
