This Chocolate Box Grade 11 Listed cottage was built in 1505, and has just been completely renovated in June 2023 to an excellent standard, it lies within a conservation area in the affluent and friendly village of Diseworth on a no through road opposite the church which makes for a really peaceful and relaxing setting. We must point out that because of the age of the Cottage it does have a few steep steps and some low beams in a couple of areas. Diseworth is a friendly Derbyshire village, we have a delightful traditional Public House with a 'staggering distance' of approximately 250 yds from the cottage front door, which is ideal if you don't fancy cooking but perhaps do fancy tasting the local Ale's that are on offer. We also have a little organic farm shop and butchers just a short distance towards Long Whatton selling locally grown fruit and vegetables and home reared and prepared meats. Ashby-De-La-Zouch is only 8 miles away with an abundance of local shops and Tesco & M&S Supermarkets, also there is a small M&S plus other shops and fast food available at Donington services which is 1 mile away, should you only need a few items. The area is ideal for walking, cycling and adventurous days out. Other areas that are of interest could be, Calke Abbey, a National Trust historic house within a 600-acre nature reserve, along with Staunton Harold Reservoir, Whatton House is a fabulous country house with beautiful gardens and a cafe .
