Such a cute little place. Shhh, don't tell anybody. As it will make the price go up! My wife & I have stayed there a few times & have always been impressed. This time we stayed in Room 115. Was met by our new little pigeon friend (Who we named "Francis") who was building a nest on the porch at the back door. So adorable! The room was really clean & inviting. Close walk to downtown & our favorite Antique Clothing Store, Garbos. The only thing we wish they could change is the shower heads. We have stayed in a few of the rooms & they are the same in all. It seems that they are one of those water saving types. The water mists and it is challenge to get all the soap rinsed off of ya! But all in all, it is a wonderful place & we will definitely be back. Thanks Candy for the wonderful décor & the Community Living Room full of books, DVDs & games. Such a great idea, we met some wonderful folks.

Perfect location and a great value! This is a 100+ year old house that has been converted. A bit worn around the edges, but clean and full of character and antique touches. Walking distance to restaurants, breweries, shopping, museums, and the river, but on a quiet street. Plenty of street parking, usually right in front. Bring ear plugs just in case--on our last night the people upstairs were walking around late, and due to the age of the building, the floors squeak.

Near The Pier is a beautiful old building. I had a lovely time staying here in April. If you plan to travel to Astoria, I would recommend staying here. If you appreciate old buildings like I do, then stay near the pier. Also would recommend visiting the Flavell house while you’re in Astoria. Candy is a great host!
