Beautiful airbnb in perfect location, we would definitely come back. Note that a cleaning and laundry fee must be paid in addition to the price which is not the usual AirBnB approach (for 2 ppl it was CH 200). So longer stays probably make more sense. The view of the flat is great and Yvonne was very flexible and friendly. There is no self-checkin or checkout option available which is something I would appreciate. Overall, great experience though!

While the view from the balcony, dining room and main bedroom are absolutely stunning, and location right on the promenade over looking the water, beware of hidden fees for end cleaning and linens. Linens (sheets, bath towels and kitchen ) do not come with rental fee and are extra as well as the end cleaning fee. These fees are rather high and not reflected in the airbnb posted fee. Weeknd nights can be very noisy through the night as you are above the promenade. Checking in with a car was a bit complicated and confusing as you are not able to drive to the apartment as its a pedestrian zone. You must pull over somewhere and wait for one of the employees of a rental agency to find you. Instructions were never given as to what to do or where to go on arrival even though we were in constant communication on arrival time to Ascona. Make sure you have Nespresso capsules, etc for bfast the first day as nothing is provided in the apartment. If you can get past the frustrations I have noted, you will enjoy an absolutely gorgeous view of the lake and mountains in Ascona.

Really incredible location in Ascona. The view was amazing and it was central to everything in the town! We were a little disappointed at the added expensive linen charge to find out we only received one towel each for the whole week. Be careful in the shower as I did suffer a burn on my arm from leaning against the faucet (it’s a pretty small shower)- the water temperature was set very high and this could potentially be dangerous for kids or older adults. I reached out to the host to let them know about this concern but did not receive a response.
