Fantastic and peaceful place! Rarely have we seen such stars at night, as we did at this beautiful spot in the middle of the forest. Highly recommended!!
My partner and I stayed here during the Winter, and it was so cozy peaceful. You really felt like you were in a world of your own. The host had a fire started for us, so the cottage was warm when we arrived. We enjoyed the thoughtful details and amenities, cottage-core decor, and stunning views of the fields. We very much look forward to coming back in the Summer!
We had at lovely weekend at the Owl's Nest Wilderness Cottage. You could tell that they have put a lot of unique personal touches into building the cabin. Everything from the build itself to the decor was really well thought out. The bed was comfortable, the woodstove made everything cozy, and the butane stove top was all we needed to make simple one pot meals. We went out to stargaze one night and while it was cold the night sky was beautiful and ever so starry. It's a great location for stargazing. The cabin is well located to explore the valley too. Thank you for letting us experience your little slice of paradise!
Cozy little cabin, really nice hosts, and friendly animals on their farm! Awesome time
An incredible space with thoughtful hosts! Every detail is beautifully curated in this cozy, bright, whimsical cabin. The hosts had a fire going for us when we arrived in the dark and pouring rain which warmed our bones and hearts. The animals are charming and the trails are beautiful. Peaceful, relaxing, charming. We can’t wait to come back to ski the trails in winter.
Our farm is tucked away in the forest on a quiet gravel road in the Annapolis Valley approximately 2.5 hrs from Halifax, 25 minutes from both Digby and Annapolis Royal, 10 minutes to Bear River and Cornwallis and about 40 minutes from Kejimikujik National park.
Annapolis Royal boasts a bustling farmers market, a lovely theatre, fine dining and cafés as well as historic gardens and parks. Digby has a beautiful waterfront and the best seafood and world famous scallops. We are surrounded by lakes, rivers and ocean to enjoy swimming, paddling and hiking. Whale watching is also not too far away.
We ask that you park your vehicle in a secondary driveway closer to the main home. The reason for this, is the farm trail is not suitable for most vehicles. The walk is a peaceful one, about 5 minutes directly through the farm pastures and wooded trails to the cottage. Along the way you can greet our many animals. Please bear this in mind when considering footwear and luggage.
