Super cute place. Lots of character and attention to detail. Was beautiful to have hot bath in the semi outdoor bathroom with the rain on the roof. Dave and Rebecca were lovely. Highly recommended.

We stayed here for three nights and really enjoyed it, along with exploring all the area has to offer. We enjoyed some of the local food options right outside the door (coffee cart and the fish n chip shop (right next door) come highly recommended. Unfortunately we weren’t able to try other eating options in the village as our stay coincided with their days closed, but it was an easy drive into New Plymouth (about 20 minutes), and there are other options in other villages nearby. The unit is fully fenced with a small area in a canopy of trees, and is a very nice setting. Inside is chic and stylish, with slight industrial look. Sited on the main surf highway, on an intersection we found it surprisingly quiet at night and we both slept well in the very comfortable bed. Thanks for a lovely stay!

Lovely peaceful spot surrounded by greenery. Very well equipped spacious studio and friendly hosts. Great fish and chips shop next door, cafe and 4 Square opposite. We'll be back.

What a wonderful weekend getaway! Rebecca and Dave were very quick with communication and the retro vibe was exactly as described! Lovely quaint area, conveniently next door to a delicious fish and chip shop and across the road from four square. Would definitely recommend this place if you are looking for a quiet weekend getaway!

Awesome to find somewhere dog-friendly, funky AND well-priced! We all enjoyed staying in this lovely studio apartment. It is exactly as described in the listing, everything was clear and easy. Highlights for us were the amazing shower, the clean and quality linen, and the super-convenient location. Appreciated being able to charge our EV too. The listing warns of noise from the road right outside, but we barely noticed it. We had delicious fish tacos from the Silver Snapper right next door and beautiful coffee and food from the Downtown Okato cafe just opposite. We wanted to try the pizza at Mighty Ltd. (still showing as Lahar Cafe on Maps) but found it closed on Saturday night, so went 10 mins up the road to Oakura instead. Taking the doggo out for an early-morning walk on Sunday I was thrilled to see the En Route coffee cart (around the corner from FourSquare) open at 7:45 a.m. - great coffee and so friendly. Definitely recommend - Thank you!
