Very friendly host. The kitchen was a mess. All of the dishes were dirty, the sink was disgusting. The dishwasher was very heavy and when you open it, it would hit the floor like a lead pipe. My daughter opened it and it slammed on her foot. She thought she broke her foot. The bathrooms were just old and the water in the showers didn’t drain well. You were basically showering in your own filth. The appliances in the house all needed to be updated. The house had a musty/old smell to it.
We had a very enjoyable stay in the house. Very nice location. Had a private lake, beautiful view from every corner of the house. House was very beautiful, cozy with all the required amenities. The surroundings are amazing like lake, beautiful stream, amazing trails for tracking and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The house was perfectly clean when we arrived at the house and Jess was very helpful in answering all our questions promptly. We will definitely visit again some time and Jess- thank you very much for your help.
This was the second time that our family vacationed at Alderbrook Lodge and the first time we also reserved the Chalet—both houses provided plenty of space for our family gathering of sixteen. The houses featured well-stocked kitchens and lots of games when rain kept us indoors (although we also escaped to the game room for foosball and pool). Outdoor fun included canoeing and kayaking, hiking, roasting smores over the fire, fishing from the dock, swinging on the tree swing, and playing soccer. The one minor maintenance issue that occurred was quickly addressed after we reported it—thank you! Everyone in our party had a great week. This was a wonderful vacation spot for grandparents, parents, and grandkids alike!
Beautiful house! Perfect for a wintery getaway
The hosts are awesome, the property is great and will keep any family busy with all the amenities. Can't say enough about the fun we had! Proximity to the big lake is awesome too! Bolton Landing and Lake George only minutes away.... Bonus!!!
