Location is close to bus stop and Kyoto station. Kyoto is a very walkable city and this is a charming neighborhood with lots of small eateries nearby. Washer dryer was appreciated as well as the small kitchenette in the unit where we can make breakfast and tea. Lovely Japanese minimal design with all the amenities and picturesque garden lit up at night. Some creaking from upstairs neighbors but this is expected in a traditional home which was modernized. It was not a bother at all. Highly recommend.

The design of the house is impressive. I felt a level of zen here that I haven’t felt ever before. The bathtub looking out to the garden was of my favorite parts. I also loved how they had complimentary green tea available for us. I would tell everyone if you’re going to Kyoto and you want to have a one of a kind experience visit Hasu’s home. There were so many restaurants two blocks up. Hosts were extremely welcoming . Thank youuuu
