A rustic getaway with beautiful landscapes but not too far from town. The Kilcher family were very kind & responsive. We appreciate the unique experience of staying on the homestead.

Great little cabin in the most beautiful of surroundings! This is the second time I've stayed here. The cabin is basic but clean and all that you need. Outdoor shower and out-house. Charming, rustic, and the best views anywhere in Homer! The hosts are very responsive and friendly. I highly recommend this cabin if you are staying in the Homer area. I love this place!

Great stay at the Kilcher cabin. Well worth the 20 minute drive from Homer. Incredible views, very peaceful setting. Small cute cabin with everything you need . Kilcher family was very responsive and pleasant to chat with. Highly recommended

As Alaskans, this fit the bill perfectly for us. It’s exactly as described and the pictures are accurate. This is a very rustic cabin with an outhouse and outdoor enclosed shower. But we had water and a kitchen in the cabin. It’s very basic but fit all of our needs. You need to climb steps up to the upper loft sleeping area. The surrounding grounds are stunningly beautiful and we enjoyed the long walk down to the beach. We loved getting away from the hustle and bustle of the Spit and enjoyed a part of Homer that we hadn’t experienced before. Communications were excellent and questions were promptly answered. And the fact that I could bring my dogs was icing on the cake.
