This place is reflective of so many Airbnbs lately, especially those owned by companies. The old, worn-out, dilapidated dorm-room-style furniture, nightstand covered in something powdery and gross, lack of any style, scuffed-up walls in need of paint, crappy wifi, dated bathroom with all the dandruff shampoo you could want but nothing else, was disappointing. Having stayed in Airbnbs around the world for many years, it's disheartening to see how little effort or care some are putting into theirs lately. Maybe it's because guests suck and ruin everything? Maybe I need to increase my budget? I don't know. This place has potential with some care and attention it isn't getting. On the plus side, the location is excellent - just a few blocks off the main drag and about a 10 minute walk from Interlaken West train station, 17 minutes from Interlaken Ost. The early check-in was super appreciated! There is a luggage drop if you can't check in early.
