A great short stay in St Thomas. The Green Iguana is perfectly situated for exploring Charlotte Amalie, but peacefully located above the noise of the Main Street (we were there during Carnival). A nice oasis above it all with a beautiful big balcony and tropical views over the town and harbour.

This is a nice place and was perfect for the one night we stayed in St Thomas to be near the airport after a week in St John. The location was very convenient for a quick walk to restaurants /shops and to be back in before dark. We felt comfortable about the location. The Green Iguana isn’t new or luxurious but it was very clean, well maintained, and our room had a lovely view of the harbour. We didn’t use the pool but it was very attractive! Check in was easy and very friendly. We happened to mention where we were staying at dinner and again at breakfast and both times our servers commented about the owners by name and how lovely they were. We would absolutely stay here again.

The best feature about the quirky little Green Iguana Hotel is its excellent location, perched on the hillside above Charlotte Amalie harbor, with a moderate 10min walk down to the charming old town shops and restaurants. The views are spectacular, especially at sunset, so I'd recommend getting a room with a balcony. The room itself was a little tight, but tidy and clean with a comfortable bed, table & chairs, cable TV, microwave, fridge, large balcony and small shower-only bathroom. The mini-split air conditioning unit kept us cool in the high humidity. We noticed quite a few mosquitos in the bathroom (sneaking in the jalousie window maybe?), so we were careful about keeping that door closed to the bedroom. There was a beautiful new pool and large deck built but not open just yet. We stayed 1 night on our way to St John, and this spot worked fine from value and location perspective. The manager, Gwen, kindly arranged taxis to/from the dock and airport, which we appreciated.

We really liked this place. Great communication with John and Gwen. We felt welcomed. Our room was perfect and had a lovely view. It was an easy walk down the hill to shops and restaurants. It was harder walking back up but you can easily get a taxi. They pool was almost finished and it looked great. The room was very comfortable. Extreme charm! We would recommend:)
