This place is FABULOUS!!! It made our trip over-the-top. If you're looking for peace, quiet, and privacy, look no further. This house checks ALL THE BOXES! Kimberly, your host, is great. she's quick to respond and made lots of good local suggestions. We'd love to stay here again!
We loved staying at this cabin! It’s just remote enough, quiet and perfect for a getaway. Our favorite part was the fire pit in the yard and the view from the upstairs deck!! We walked/ran along the dirt road leading up to the cabin as our daily exercise and it was amazing, the neighbors we met were all very nice and we even made some friends with some sweet puppies that wanted to walk along with us. Kimberly was so helpful and responsive to any questions we had. Would definitely stay here again if we find ourselves back in MT! :)
The cabin was located in a nice secluded area which offered plenty of privacy and yet it was close enough to town to get there easily. The cabin was wonderfully kept and stocked with everything needed for our stay. We brought our dogs with and they were at home instantly with how comfortable the cabin feels and they loved the room to run and play fetch. Kimberley was great with giving us plenty of info on sites to see, places to eat, and even places to take our furry friends to stretch their legs. We encountered some rainy weather and we were still able to enjoy ourselves in the cabin with a fire and the wonderful views the cabin has to offer. We really enjoyed our stay and hope to come back to enjoy the experience again in the future.
- The cabin is within a very friendly neighborhood.
- The “Last Approx 2.3 miles” is a gravel road that is maintained all year. The drive is worth the prize... but hey we are biased on this point.
- Check out a guidebook we put together. Click the ‘More about the location’ below. Then go to the bottom of the page and click ‘Show host guidebook’
Numerous hiking and excellent mountain biking trails are within a short distance from the cabin. Shopping, restaurants, and nightlife are only 25 minutes away in Whitefish. World-class skiing is a 40-45 minute drive (18 miles) in winter (from front to base lodge) Oh and Glacier National Park ;-).
In the winter, besides world-class skiing at Whitefish Mountain resort and activities in Whitefish, winters at the cabin offer additional activities. Without leaving the property, you can enjoy cross country skiing, snowshoeing or go snowmobiling into the National Forest from your front door.
There is a great Snowmobile rental place (ATVs and side by sides in the summer), with guides if you desire and 100’s of mile of trails in Olney, Mt about 20-25 minutes. Ice fishing in the nearby lakes and dog sledding opportunities under 30 minutes away. Return to the cabin following your winter actives to enjoy a warm, cozy, crackling fire! You won’t be disappointed!
