Location was perfect for us. Eastport itself really doesn’t have much but Apalachicola and St George Island are 10 minutes away. The sunrises are spectacular!

Staying in Eastpoint was a choice over Apalachicola or SGI as we thought the cottage looked cute and we liked that it was on the bay with the dock for fishing. The Eastpoint area is definitely not as built up or tourist oriented, and is more of a fishing village vibe which was still cool. The view of the morning sunrises was phenomenal, and having Island View Fish Market literally next door was definitely another perk; we ate out in Apa for one lunch at Dockside Half Shell (highly recommend!), but made fresh fish, scallops and shrimp the other nights we were there. The cottage was cozy for two, clean and comfy. grocery store, bait shop, fish market, ice cream shop all within two to five minutes walking distance, and the local people were all friendly and helpful.
