We really enjoyed our stay, host was friendly and helpful , very responsive to any questions as no written instructions, we were shown what we needed to know. The traffic is audible but we didn’t mind it, easier to get to places with a main road near. It’s a very imposing place, we came for a family wedding with other guests staying in different Airbnb houses and they all liked ours, it’s very spacious though a bigger kitchen would be nice. The dishwasher is very small and didn’t wash that well, but probably just a filter change needed. The pool was beautifully clean and lovely garden areas to eat, with balconies on each room which were cool to have coffee when it was very hot. Air conditioning in bedrooms very welcome, the other properties didn’t have this. We loved Thessaloniki and would be keen to come back, thank you!

Het huis was 20+ jaar geleden vast prachtig, alleen is de eigenaar vergeten het sindsdien te onderhouden. Nu was alleen het zwembad prima. Verder was er weinig positiefs aan deze ‘luxurious villa’. Keukenkastjes vallen uit elkaar, gordijnen missen, kussens vol vlekken, tv uit de vorige eeuw, stoelen met gebroken poten, kapotte schommelstoel, bad om in te douchen met tape aan elkaar geplakt, etc. etc. Op de eerste dag alles gemeld aan de eigenaar, maar het werd allemaal ontkend of afgedaan als een ‘kwestie van smaak’. We vroegen of ze langs kon komen, maar toen was ze opeens ziek. Toen we een dag eerder vertrokken, was ze er als de kippen bij om binnen een uur een claim van €1000 te sturen oa vanwege ‘gestolen’ handdoeken die gewoon aan de waslijn hingen. Dan heb je lef. Wij boeken al jaren tientallen huizen via airbnb, altijd tot volle tevredenheid. Dit hebben we nog nooit meegemaakt! Wat een vreselijke ervaring! Absolute afrader! Deze host hoort niet op airbnb.

The house is large and spacious with big pool and gardens and plenty of parking, amongst some olive fields. You are removed from others so it is an escape from the world, but you will need a car as you can’t walk to anything. It’s near a major road for great access to the surrounding area (though that means the noise from the road is noticeable). The house is well presented but a little worn and tired in places and could do with some modernising. And with small children it’s worth noting that there’s lots of steps and hazards.

We enjoyed really our stay at the Villa. The private pool and close proximity to the local town (10 mins) as well as 20 mins from Thessaloniki was great! The unique architecture of the Villa and design of it was very nice. There is some noticeable wear and tear that needs addressing, that is to be expected in a rental property, but honestly we had no complaints. Helena (the host) was super responsive and communicative throughout, meeting her parents was also lovely! She was always willing to help and advise in any way.
