Our beautiful family house is completely furnished. All furniture, including the kitchen, is built by our neighbor using local hardwood. The house has a huge garden, where our guests can enjoy or take a short walk through the coffee and banana trees. It is ideal as a starting point before climbing Mount Kilimanjaro, safari or local trips. Mainly it is a break, an oasis away from the town chaos. You may cook by yourself or I can arrange a local cook and housekeeper. Welcome to our house:) The house is a bit out of the beaten track, you need a 4WD, but local motorbike taxi is the most common means of transport here. If you like nature, you can take a beautiful walk to Moshi town (6km). We will give you local tips and telephone numbers for reliable taxi drivers. The house is mostly enjoyable during the dry season as there is no tarmac road leading to the house.

Our stay in Vene’s luxurious home was amazing. The house was beautiful from outside in and very scenic from the backyard fruit filled trees to the banana plants to the hand crafted tree stump seats. The inside was decorated to perfection on the upholstery and the wooden ceiling was a vision. Everything we needed was provided and all the hosts and neighbors were very friendly. Though a bit out of town, the lodging is worth it and very peaceful away from the hustle and bustle of town. I’d love to revisit soon.

From our house, you can take walking trips to Materuni waterfalls with a coffee tour or a day trip to warm springs for a swim or to national parks or climb mount Kilimanjaro. or Meru
If you enjoy walking, you can walk to the town or the local market. Otherwise, you can either take the local public transport (daladala). The quickest and the cheapest way to move around is by a motorbike taxi.
