Wonderful wonderful wonderful. The hosts of this site are absolutely wonderful people and we will be coming back. So many birds to listen to while drinking some morning coffee. The stream next to the campsite was a great surprise and our dog enjoyed it thoroughly. I highly recommend staying here.
Very gorgoues campsite nearby hocking hills. Host communicated very well, which made check in a very smoothe process. Site was clean and was a very peaceful place to camp. Highly Recommend!
We loved camping here! It’s private, but close to town. It was nice to pitch a tent on the platform — it was level and the tent stayed clean. The fire pit was great and there was plenty of extra firewood. Checkin was smooth and communication good. I’d come back here in a heartbeat. It’s a beautiful spot in the woods.

We started Blue Heron Run to offer private retreat camping. Public camping has become so noisy and crowded that the beauty and wonder of the wilderness is lost. We only allow up to 3 campsites to be booked on the beautiful 16 acre property so everyone has plenty of space, and we are in a area without a lot of light pollution so you will have a wonderful view of the night sky. Miles of private hiking trails cover creeks, rocks, cliffs, woods, wetlands, and ridgetops. We also provide motorcycling routes and tours on request. The hosts live next door and are out in the woods every day enjoying nature. From walking the dogs to bicycling, kayaking, and motorcycle riding we prefer to put away our devices and enjoy the fresh air. See the website: blueheronrun.com.
