A friend and I rented two of Thedie's studios for a week in Apr 2024. Excellent location, two minutes walk from Nieuwmarkt Metro which is one stop from Centraal on three lines. Picturesque intersection of two small canals. Easy walks to Oude Kerk, Rembrandthuis, & Centraal. Noise mostly as expected for intra-city, barely heard the lively Nieuwmarkt square and some car traffic in the evenings. Lockbox check-in at front door, then studio keys at inside lockbox. Inside: Pristine housekeeping. Comfortable bed & heat, immaculate bathroom, tea & coffee makers in suite, refrigerator, microwave. Thedie was a quick responder about my questions on transportation & nearby eating recommendations, and very charming when we met in person on our last evening. Stairs were typical narrow for Amsterdam lodgings, which might be a challenge for handicaps and/or heavy or large-sized luggage. We enjoyed the cozy & convivial van Beeren cafe two minutes walk for tasty Dutch cuisine & drinks.

Excellent location and cozy studio. I would definitely come back to this place next time I am visiting Ámsterdam. Thesis gave me great information to arrive to the station from the airport, store my luggage and access the place. Everything was pretty straightforward and lovely. Thank you Thedie!

My mom and I absolutely loved staying in Thedie’s studio! This was our first time visiting the Netherlands and this location was exactly the Amsterdam “slice of life” we were hoping for! Many cute restaurants and shops nearby, and the second floor view over the canal intersection was fantastic for people-watching. The studio itself was small but worked well for the two of us - loved the cozy but modern design and the queen bed was comfy. Thanks Thedie!

I loved the location in a central yet peaceful residential neighborhood. Easy to walk down street to Nieumarket Square, metro subway around corner, and lovely restaurants and pubs close by . My favorite feature about this lovely place was having Nespresso at the table and looking out over the canal. Boats, bicycles, people,dogs . It was so charming .Comfortable bed . Thedie was always responsive and offered friendly suggestions when asked . I loved the vibe of the neighborhood. So walkable . Thank you , Thedie, for a memorable stay .

My husband and I loved staying at Thedie’s studio apartment on the canal! It’s the perfect location and is walking distance to many attractions and restaurants yet far enough away from all the crowds and noise. The Metro is also a short walk away. And Thedie is the perfect host - extremely accommodating, helpful and a great communicator. We highly recommend a stay here when visiting Amsterdam.
