We loved staying at the shack in the back. It was very private, new and updated everywhere, clean and fresh. Georgina made it so personal for us as well. From the decorations for the July 4th weekend, to goodies left inside for our kids. We definitely recommend staying here.

Georgina, thanks again for providing a clean and comfortable place to stay. The location was great for us to visit our family. The Christmas decorations helped to make it feel like Christmas. So generous of you to provide snacks, wine, coffee and other goodies. We’ll be reserving the “shack” again.

We loved our visit to The Shack so much that we booked it a 2nd time for over a month. Geni is an incredible host! Our first visit was in October and it was decorated with classy fall touches. When we returned after Thanksgiving, the motif was changed to suit the season with adorable winter decorations. All very tasteful. Geni made sure to leave us plenty of yummy snacks and A+ beverages along with fresh towels and an extra supply of essentials such as paper towels, Starbucks coffee (winter blend) and extra toilet paper for our extended stay. Geni is so kind and genuinely wants to make the visit as comfortable as possible. She even checks in periodically to see if we need anything. Her communication is exceptional and the premises are all immaculate including outside. The landscapers came and cleaned up - Geni always notified us to let us know when they’d be coming by. They were so friendly and did a great job. We loved that we never had to worry about taking the trash out to the street, that was done by the office personnel. We also loved how private the premises are yet so close to all the things - amazing restaurants, Ga 400, The Avalon & The Halcyon. So private with the gate (and private code) and the secluded woods. We saw tons of cute little chipmunks, squirrels and even a huge buck that lazily walked through the back yard While we were sitting in the screened in back porch. Geni also went to great lengths to ensure that everything in The Shack, including all appliances, are upgraded and high quality. All kitchen appliances are LG. Not cheap at all! We recently remodeled our kitchen at home and have the exact same gas stove/oven, microwave and fridge which was such a comfort to us. I can’t say enough good things about this home. It’s truly home away from home plus some!!! We will forever hold this place dear to our hearts.

This is a beautiful cottage in pristine condition, well furnished, and stocked with extras like wine and snacks. The appliances appear to be brand new and everything including the heat, hot water, etc worked perfectly. Would be happy to stay there again.
