First the good! Harris was an awesome host who was very responsive and helpful. The view at the home is beautiful, and it is nestled in a very pretty and pleasant area of CO. However, there were a couple things that brought my rating down. First and foremost, the beds are outright uncomfortable. The downstairs bedroom is a Murphy bed, and the upstairs bed is hard as a rock. Of the 4 guests, 2 slept on the couch and the other 2 suffered the beds. The other knock I have is that the quality and quantity of towels and linens was poor at best. The towels provided were beach towels and shed when you dry with them, and the linens on the beds are uncomfortable and scratchy. There was also inadequate amounts of pillows. The combo of the poor linen quality, poor bed quality, and lack of pillows made for a tough nights sleep. I think if the beds and linens were fixed, this is a 5 star stay every day of the week!

What a beautiful location! Although there were neighbors, you couldn’t really see them and the location felt private. We saw deer daily - often in the yard. The town nearby had a couple of good restaurants and it wasn’t far to Castle Rock where they have everything. Harris was quick to respond when we had questions.

The home, itself, was lovely. The location and privacy was just what we expected. The views were amazing and we were able to have coffee on the deck in the morning and wine in the evening. Harris was very responsive and friendly. Under other circumstances, we would love to stay again but because of what we encountered, unfortunately we would not. The kitchen was filthy. Stove had not been cleaned in a very, very long time...literally from top to bottom, inside the oven and the storage underneath. Cabinets, coffee pot, water kettle, microwave and toaster oven were dirty and not wiped down. Bathrooms weren't as bad but there was toothpaste on the faucet and mirror in the bathroom on main level. Liner in upstairs shower needs to be thrown out. All light switches in the house were dirty. Floors had not been swept. Cleaning fee is charged and should be utilized. We also did no know in advance that Harris lives in the house when not rented out, which made us feel uncomfortable.
