Being the first vents off the furnace, this space is very comfy and reaches temperature quickly. ABOUT THE HOUSE: Built in 1924 as a Farmhouse, it stood before the interstate, the zoo, or the city it’s in! The house has been consistently updated throughout its life, while keeping its quaint, farmhouse charm. Features include a large, welcoming front porch, gorgeous original Craftsman carpentry, and original, rich wood flooring. The house floods with natural light from numerous large windows and kitchen skylights, while several automated security lights keep guests from bumping in the night. The interstate is close, but only seems like a river in the background. Several windows original to the house are covered in insulating plastic (not aesthetically pleasing, but unfortunately essential). The west-facing, large front porch includes a dining table on one side, and a rocker with chair on the other. The charm of our listing is that it is a residential home offering guests the ability to live like a local Michigander; as such, there are not commercial, hotel services such as: maid service, front desk services, concierge, etc. While most of our guests visit for work and school, we are more than happy to host your vacation as well.
