Top tier experience! Roel is very communicative; helping me get from the airport to his home. He had many suggestions to improve my Netherland experience. Meeting in person for the keys our conversation was lovely, I felt welcomed. The apartment is charming with elements of Roel personal style. The bed is comfortable. The kitchen is fully equipped to make delicious meals. I had my breakfast most morning sitting on the back balcony overlooking his neighbor's beautiful garden. My favorite part of the apartment is the tangerine color tiles on the bathroom floor that continue on the kitchen wall. I enjoyed the dining room, large windows overlooked the neighborhood. Book shelves are filled with vintage cameras, art and reference books, soulful records and timeless CDs. Bathroom is self-explanatory, clean and functional. Neighborhood is very hip, it has everything for all your needs. The local transportation took me further into the city and different neighborhoods. Thank you Roel !!!!!!!

Roel ist ein sehr netter, flexibler und unkomplizierter Gastgeber, der uns gute Tipps gegeben hat. Die Kommunikation mit ihm hat reibungslos funktioniert. Die Wohnung ist sehr sauber und gemütlich, wir haben uns dort sehr wohl gefühlt. Gerne kommen wir wieder!

Roel has an amazing apartment in a special part of Amsterdam. We've been back twice now and it feels like home. There is much to do nearby including places to eat, relax and be inspired (architecture). He is a great host and makes you feel very welcome.

This is a great spot to call home exploring Amsterdam. About 150 metres from the #4 Tram and 500 metres from the #3 Tram, it's easy to get to all the parts of Amsterdam you want to explore. The apartment is typically compact, like most in Amsterdam, but has plenty of living space, a good kitchen and a comfortable bed for two. Being on the first floor means only one flight of stairs to navigate with luggage. It's quirky and comfortable and a feels like home. Roel is a great host and I'll definitely be back if possible.
