Robert's place was perfect for my needs -- conveniently located to the ferry pier, super-friendly management, easy access to stores and restaurants galore. Next door is the owner's sister's laundry servce/scooter rental shop -- another attractive feature. And Robert is a human treasure -- hard-wired into the Koh Tao diving community and brimming with local contacts and human warmth. He handles the Airbnb bookings for the hotel's owner-manager, Mrs. Kay, another all-time great. Highly recommended if you're comfortable in a traditional, easy-going, Thai setting, absent frills and fuss.

Sehr schönes Zimmer in Ava’s Guesthouse. Zimmer war sehr gut ausgestattet und sauber. Die Gastgeberin hat uns sehr lieb empfangen und war immer sehr hilfsbereit. Es gab sogar Trinkwasser zum abzapfen. Wir empfehlen ebenfalls das Restaurant Bam bam, was direkt gegenüber liegt. Außerdem kann man sich nebenan einen Roller leihen mit dem in kurzer Zeit zu den verschiedenen Stränden fahren kann.

Perfect for our needs. Great area and walkable to pretty much anything on the island. Hosts are welcoming and pretty easy to find your way there. clean and cool as well.
