Lovely little ground floor "studio flat" with aircon, kitchenette, separate shower, fast wifi and a TV complete with an Amazon Firestick that had Netflix and Amazon prime TV loaded on it. I personally don't subscribe to Netflix so it was good to see what's happening with it. Isheka wasn't in the country but you'd have thought she was in how quickly she responded to any requests I put to her. She arranged transfers both ways, to and from the airport for me which was a huge weight off my shoulders. Although I never got to meet her personally I'd recommend her apartment to anyone who doesn't want to see Jamaica through the eyes of an all inclusive resort or prearranged tours. Both the drivers I was introduced to, are available to book for excursions around the island and should I return I'd definitely take up that opportunity. Two very nice fellas who I'd be more than happy to hang with.

We had a nice, simple baecay at Isheka’s. We liked the quiet street that the house is on and the closeness to the airport is worth the price! This is an attached studio style room at the back of a home, like a sublet unit. The family that live in the house are nice people who sell ice cream which is yummy! It has a small kitchenette that faces the bed/open space plus a bathroom and a small area for clothing with shelves; broom and towels/washcloths. The ac was strong although a little tricky to figure out switching the functions. I didn’t mind that the tv didn’t work because I brought my laptop but we tried at length and couldn’t get a connection on it. The WiFi worked well and was helpful because our phones couldn’t pick up signal so well. There were a few small insects which is big for me because I have entomophobia. I would recommend updating the listing so when guests reserve, they have the check in procedure right away as we had to wait to hear back from Isheka on check in day.

The community is a nice one, but it is difficult to figure out the entrance to the Airbnb when you get to the property.  The Airbnb website give you the address, but not the house number so you have to reach out to the host for that information. There was a horrible stench in the room which prevent us from sleeping that night. I had a Jamaican friend on-island who came to the property and he said that I should have booked a better place instead. This was not the ideal place to stay if you coming through Norman Manley International Airport. It was a bad choice of Airbnb.
