Secluded 3 bedroom detached house with a stunning view overlooking the Irish Sea. Located on a quiet country lane with ¾ acre (0.3 hectares) of garden on an elevated site. Look out to where seals and dolphins can sometimes be seen from the shore. Many sandy beaches are located within a short drive from the house, including the beach used in the filming of Saving Private Ryan (Curracloe beach). The house has two conservatories, one at the front where you can enjoy beautiful sea views. The other conservatory is at the side of the house, which catches the afternoon/ evening sun. The master bedroom looks out at the sea where you can watch the sunrise - if you're up early enough! On a clear night, the night sky is filled with stars. There is a gas barbecue and sunny outdoor seating area. It is a two minute walk from a long quiet beach, where seals and dolphins can sometimes be seen from the shore. Windbreaker and buckets & spades provided. Please note, there is a steep incline to the beach across from the house, but there are many other easily accessible sandy beaches located within a short drive from the house, including the beach used in the filming of Saving Private Ryan (Curracloe beach).

Beautiful, peaceful location. Gorgeous beaches nearby. Very comfortable house with lots of space. Elaine is a wonderful host, so friendly and helpful. Our stay exceeded our expectations, would highly recommend for a relaxing holiday.

We have just returned from a fabulous week staying at Elaine’s home. The house was perfect for our family, great garden, great space, light and airy. Beach was close and the view from the sunroom of the sea was distractingly beautiful. Very comfortable and relaxed house. We are already booking for next year. A very friendly and hospitable host with great recommendations for things to do. Couldn’t fault anything.

Elaine was an absolutely wonderful host. She was personable, kind, caring and helpful. She was very concerned that my daughter and me were enjoying ourselves. And she’s an excellent cook! Her place was clean and very comfortable, and the views were spectacular. The pub we visited in town was lively and fun. This was an all around excellent experience.

The small village of Blackwater (with shops, pubs etc.) is two kilometers from the house. You can access 'The Wexford Way Walking Trail' within minutes from the house. Raven Wood Nature Reserve is a 10 minute drive away. This is a beautiful woodland walk which runs parallel to the sandy beach of Curracloe. Great fishing, horse-riding stables and Blackwater’s Par 3 golf course are available locally. If you're coming with children, Blackwater Petting Farm is well-worth a visit.

Wexford town is within an easy commute, with many restaurants, cinemas, an Opera House (which hosts all types of music and performance including Opera), swimming pools, health shops and much more.her So whether you wish to have a quiet relaxing holiday or a more active holiday, this location offers the possibility of both. While in Wexford town, I would recommend a visit to the Irish National Heritage Park. This is an open-air museum near Wexford which tells the story of human settlement in Ireland from the Mesolithic period right up to the Norman Invasion in 1169. Johnstown Castle is a short drive from Wexford town which has beautiful landscape gardens, a coffee shop and a museum.
