Incredible! Alamayah did not disappoint, this high end luxury hotel also acts as a private villa. My wife and I decided to hire the entire space during the COVID period and we were both amazed at the level of quality to detail from the building to service and to the pure beauty of sumba. Surf all day and pool hangs in the afternoon. Alamayah’s staff have become part of our sumba family. Thank you, we already can’t wait to come back

Wow! Alamayah is an absolute dream villa in a dream location. Sumba is simply magical and Alamayah well, it's everything and more. I had hesitations travelling in this climate but I just knew Alamayah would be incredible. I desperately needed a break from work. From the moment I checked in they took care of me. The villa and staff are Covid safe and and hygiene is clearly of a priority, which put my mind at ease. The details are the villa simply stunning. I am a sucker for artisan finishings and great architecture. The suite I chose to spend the night in was a pleasure to wake up in. I am so happy I chose to stay at Alamayah. It really is one of those villas that you have to pinch yourself staying in. Highly recommend anyone looking rest, relax and restore in this crazy world we live in. Alamayah is more than a treat, it's a retreat.

My wife and I decided to rent the entire venue over the covid perios and all i want to say is this place is mind blowing. They took covid hygiene and protocols very serious and we were impressed by their standards. Amaying actiivties here and the place is astonshing. 500m right hand super fun waves directly out front with no crowds. Surfed it just myself and the owners. We had a blast. See you again in December Alamayah, we can't wait.

We rented alamayah as a villa with our close friends throughout the covid period and we were amazed. We'd visited Sumba 8yrs ago and fell in love with the beauty of the island and it's people but never imagined a luxury experience like we had there this time. Just a 50min flight from Bali so it's easy to get there, their friendly drivers picked us up from the airport in new and comfy cars for the scenic transfer to the property, followed by a seamless checkin and delicious welcome drink and soon after the wives in our group were sunbaking by the pool with a wine whilst us guys were paddling out to catch a wave. The cleanliness and hygiene standards they have are faultless which of course is a big consideration these days when you travel. The venue itself is one of the most beautiful places we've ever stayed in. Endless activities at the villa, lounging by the pool, drinking cocktails and coconuts by the swim up bar, gym and yoga sessions, Turkish Hammam, mountain biking and treks, amazing beginner to intermediate long right hand wave directly out front of the villa. The service and team which we now call our sumbanese family are beautiful, we can’t wait to return! Terima kasih & big hugs from Jesse, Saba & friends.

Wow, Our family of 10 rented alamayah as a villa and we were simply blown away. All our rooms had ocean views and the property is situated a stone throw from the ocean. Activities were endless - jungle treks, learn to surf, visiting the local village, paddle boarding down a magical river, mountain biking the list goes on. The villa itself is magical with steam rooms, gym, pool with a swim up bar with amazing cocktails, rooftop and more. the service was five star and we have already booked our return trip for next year!
