My family of 3 (1 grown up kid) spent 6 weeks in this apartment. For the cost, this was an amazing place for me. I was a visiting professor at a local university. I could walk there or use the amazing Spanish public transportation system when I was in a hurry. It was walking distance from the most beautiful of city beaches. We could go to the beach at 8 pm when we wanted on spend all day there when the weather was beautiful, coming home for lunch so we carried nothing except towels and a book. All parts of the beautiful town of San Sebastian were within reach, especially combining lovely walks and busses. The folks at FeelFree Rentals were super nice and did their best. One thing that I was not entirely aware of was that part of the issue with a central location is that it is on a busy street, almost at street level. It took me a few days to get accustomed to the noise - not a big problem.

The apartment was fantastic - tasteful, clean, comfortable and well-appointed in a lovely area! Communication was excellent and the check-in/check-out process, very straightforward and easy. We loved our stay and hope to be back again!

Ondarreta is one of the quietest, safest, and most elegant areas of San Sebastián. It is at the end of La Concha beach and at the slopes of Mount Igueldo. It is a friendly residential area known for its natural beauty and numerous attractions, including the Ondarreta beach, which in summer becomes the perfect plan with its golden sand, crystal clear waters, and views of Santa Clara island. Ondarreta also hosts the Peine del Viento monument, which has become one of the city’s symbols. Another attraction of the area is the Miramar Palace, an impressive 19th-century mansion that was the summer residence of the Spanish royal family for many years.
Regarding its green areas, Mount Igueldo stands out, which can be reached by funicular or on foot. It offers impressive panoramic views of the city and the sea, and an amusement park perfect for families.
Ondarreta also hosts a wide variety of bars, restaurants, and local stores, being an excellent opportunity to enjoy the local cuisine and culture of the Basque Country. Indeed, it is a perfect option to enjoy San Sebastián during your vacations... or even for a season!
