Our family of 5 stayed for spring break to check out the local state parks and St. Louis. We liked the remoteness of the cabin. We heard barred owls at night, had fires, roasted marshmallows, and star gazed as the kids played on the playground and rope swing. It was exactly what we needed. Firewood and marshmallow roasting sticks were pleasantly provided. The kids loved the triple bunk bed. Inside the cabin is quite small but it worked. There is a Dollar General right down the street for the random items we needed while there. The kitchen was well-equipped, even had an instant pot (which made me very happy!). We cooked all of our meals there with no issues. We were an hour away from the Arch, City Museum, Forest Park, World Bird Sanctuary, and Lone Elk Park. About 30-45 minutes away from Elephant Rocks and Johnson's Shut-Ins. Washington State Park is right down the street and absolutely beautiful. There were numerous local shops to explore. Overall excellent experience.

Great place to stay if you are looking for peace and quiet! Great launching point for exploring all the state parks in the area.

We absolutely enjoyed our stay! It was exactly as described & exactly what we wanted. The seclusion & the quiet was perfect & we were able to bring our dog who thoroughly enjoyed the space as well. Thank you!
