This is a great place. The location is secluded but within five minutes walk of a fantastic, simple, basic, superb restaurant. The garden is lovely, especially the pool! We had wild boars visiting at night to pinch the fallen walnuts. The views across the valley are stunning. The house is perfect.

Geweldig toscaans huis! Ruim, schoon en met heerlijk zwembad. Op loopafstand van leuk lokaal restaurant. Aanrijden is lastig, in het donker wel erg lastig. Zeker een aanrader, wel forse prijs voor locatie in middle of nowhere

We (family with 2 children) really enjoyed our stay at the villa. The host (Molly) was very friendly and was already waiting for us at the house when we arrived. The location is great and the house is clean and spacious. The pool was unfortunately still too cold (April) but seems to be in perfect order and was clean as well. Close to the house there is also a soccer field that can be used. The views from the garden over the valley are spectacular. And it is very quiet. Although the house is very spacious we did not use the main living room at all because it was too smelly from the fireplace smoke. Another drawback might be that the house is noisy, which is to be expected in a very old house with wooden flooring. Final thing that is good to know is that the private road to the house (1 minute drive) contains a hairpin corner that takes some getting used to. All in all I would definitely recommend this villa. It is a quiet, clean, spacious place with spectacular views. And it is perfectly located to visit cities like Lucca, Pisa and Florence.
