Traditional Saxon house build almost 100 years ago recently restored for guest travelers. The house preserves its traditional features but with completely refurbished interiors and beautiful interior garden where guests can enjoy spending time outside. The house has spacious rooms and a large courtyard and it is perfect for a couple, a family with kids or a small group of friends. Also, we are absolutely pet friendly so your furry friend can come along. Breakfast/ lunch is offered on request. The spacious living room features a fireplace, a comfy folding couch, books and music collections, as well as a wide TV and creates a cozy and unique space for relaxing. The bedroom with classical furniture offers a large King-size comfy bed for a peaceful sleep in the warmth of the fireplace. The large spa bathroom featuring a bath tub offers a great environment where our guests have the opportunity to relax and enjoy the moment. The foyer with lots of windows offers a lot of natural light and features a desk and wireless internet for those who want to stay connected to their work or business. The kitchen with access from outside is completely equipped for those who want to prepare themselves a nice meal or a fast breakfast. From dishwasher machine to toaster, tableware, stove and oven, mixer, blender, microwave oven and large fridge, all are available so that our guests can have the best experience possible. The interior courtyard is paved with volcanic rocks and features beautiful flowers, a traditional patio and a Saxon barn so the guests can have a complete and authentic experience.

Peaceful, restful, comfortable, quiet place. The area in itself (Racos) needs some love as the surroundings tend to be a bit unattended. The geological park is worth paying a visit. Outside the turistic season one cannot really find a place to eat nearby, but the kitchen has enough necessary furbishing to manage the food on one's own. The administrator of the place is very nice, but not always reliable.
O cazare ce ne-a depasit asteptarile. Foarte bine localizata pt a vizita toate punctele de interes din sat, curata si dotata cu tot ce trebuie. Cea mai placuta surpriza a fost ca am avut un ajutor local care ne-a ghidat, explicat tot ce trebuie si livrat mancare proaspata zilnic. Comunicarea cu gazdele a fost perfecta!
We enjoyed the stay in Irina's house. It was a great place either to visit Siebenbürgen or to explore the nature and the rural life. There are no real restaurants nearby but in village is a little shop. The kitchen has everything which is needed for breakfast, lunch or dinner. Internet worked really well and there was also the possibility to watch English spoken TV. If you'll stay longer there is also a laundry machine which could be used. Car can be parked safely on private place. Even if we do not speak any Romanian we could manage everything. Irina and Stefan know English very well. Thanks a lot Irina and Stefan for staying at your home.
Totul a fost foarte bine, curatenie, casa este mobilata foarte frumos. O biblioteca foarte draguta, puteam sa nu-mi mai iau cu mine carti. Catelul nostru a fost foarte bine primit si toata familia s-a simtit foarte bine.
Absolutely wonderful house to stay in, everything you need and great to have a choice of using the stove if you want. Its really private and clean and you have everything you could possibly need. The owner is super helpful and i would definitely stay here again and can recommend it to anyone who wants to stay in the area

Just a few minutes walking distance, guests can visit the amazing surroundings that the village has to offer from the Bethlen castle dating back more than 200 years, to the out of this word scenery of Racos Vulcano crater, the Smarald lake and the Basaltic Columns. Racos village is a real geological history lesson that travelers searching to discover new places will find absolutely amazing.
Also, just a short car ride away there is the impressive Rupea citadel, as well as Viscri village or Saschiz village.
Racos is located at 60 km from Brasov at half distance between Brasov and Sighisoara (route DN 13).
