Cute and convenient, and so much better than chain motels. Super friendly staff and the food is terrific! Live music Friday night was a bonus treat.

An enjoyable stay overall and good food in the restaurant. The room had several "problems" when we first arrived (e.g. broken light fixture, non-functioning window shade) but the staff was very responsive and fixed them ASAP.

Really nice place to stay, clean, staff was super nice and helpful. Great food right in the attached restaurant. Nice bar, really nice live music on Friday night, all in all a great weekend, would definitely go back.

This hotel is beautifully restored and still old-school saloon style. As nearby locals, it was fun to see inside and we so appreciate that it was truly dog friendly. It's a perfect stop and great value for anyone passing through Tomales or who wants to see nearby Dillon Beach. The restaurant food and drinks are outstanding. On balance, the William Tell Hotel is doing a terrific job balancing a hotel, inside bar, and restaurant. This is not a criticism, just a note that noise or sensory-sensitive folks should be aware that the patio is a dining patio (with people talking and some music speakers), and beside a highway. In our experience, the music was not excessively loud and did not conflict with sleeping hours or anything like that; just note that it may be present. We heard not a peep from the inside bar downstairs; didn't even know it was there.
