Beautiful hideaway cottage deep in Somerset, three miles from the coast. Originally two small farm cottages and converted into a farmhouse in the early 1900's, this was our home for 11 years, which we shared with our two springer spaniels. Highlights include: * Bath and 2 large walk-in showers * Wood burner * Beautiful garden next to stream * No neighbours (only property down a country lane) * Warm in winter, cool in summer * Car charger Type 2 (need to bring a cable) Not Free Recently refurbished throughout, the cottage offers Nest thermostat controlled heat in winter and is cool in summer due to the thick stone walls. We are continually improving the property and welcome feedback to help us.

We had a lovely stay at Jo’s place. It was a beautiful cottage, with everything you would need. Very dog friendly, I don’t think our pup wanted to leave! The garden was beautiful and secure too. Jo was extremely responsive and answered any questions we had. A car is needed as not tonnes to do within walking distance, and we got unlucky with the weather. Would recommend for a peaceful and private break away.
We had a wonderful time at Jo’s. The house was extremely comfortable for our family of four and also for our dog! The setting is gorgeous and there’s much to do in the area. So much that we’re hoping to visit again to see more of it. Kilve beach was a highlight- we went several times. Overall a great trip!
Lovely detached property down a country lane. Village shop was just around the corner, which was really handy. Jo was very responsive.

Stogursey is an ancient and beautiful Somerset village, tucked away off the A39. Local buildings of interest are the The Priory Church of St. Andrew with its Norman foundations dating back to the early 12th Century, the motte-and-bailey Stogursey Castle, the Gatehouse of which is let out by the Landmark Trust, and St Andrew’s Well, which is located in Back Street. There are many beautiful walks within the immediate area with the Quantock Hill just three miles up the road and the Bristol Channel Coast three miles in the other direction.
A village bus is the only public transport. Private transport is recommended for getting here and around during your stay.
