The room itself was amazing and very spacious! The host didn’t respond when messaging through Airbnb but when ringing the hotel directly you could get through. The spa facilities are an extra charge and aren’t included in the stay. But the grounds were beautiful and was a lot nicer than we expected!

Very disappointed with my stay. I don’t usually write poor reviews but I feel it is necessary. The room I cannot fault it’s second to none so fancy honestly the room was the best thing of the whole experience. I went to Shrigley Hall as a birthday gift to my sister. Check in was fine no issues. I was told I needed to pay a £25 holding deposit which I didn’t mind this sometimes happens to find out the next morning that they had taken £127.80 from my account even though I paid for the room through air bnb. When I mentioned this no one seemed the least bit apologetic however can not fault them with how quickly they refunded the money. Upon checking my bank I saw the refund had been credited along with another payment of £127.80 taken from my account. So not only did they refund me the payment they unlawfully took from my account they also took the payment again counteracting the refund. This has now left me with no money and no way of contacting Shrigley Hall as no one ever answers a phone or responds to an email. Please be careful if wanting to stay here. Sounds like some sort of money laundering set up if you ask me.
