We enjoyed our stay, but I couldn't give this more than a 3 star rating simply because of the price. The William Tell House is a wonderful building with history you can feel, and the rooms are cute and spacious, but it feels like it's an abandoned building. And I get the appeal of a self check in hotel, but it feels like an abandoned building you are staying in with the bar closed below. The second picture in the listing felt misleading since the the bar is closed. I would stay here again if it was half the price. There is another self check in hotel next door, The Hotel Tomales, that appeared to have a little more attention to detail with christmas decorations in the lobby and such, that had rooms more than a $100 less.

Wonderful place in a super cute location. The restaurant was closed which was a bummer. The building is very old so be prepared for the quirks that come with that. Overall was fun and a great location.

After over a decade using AirBnB, this is my first negative review. There weren't really any major problems with the place, although the TV did not work the first night and the internet was unstable. The main issue was a glitch in the billing that led to a 25% occupancy tax instead of the usual 14%. The host and AirBnB blamed each other and neither would reimburse me. Unfortunately, by the time you notice the overcharge, it will be too late. So book at your own risk!

Really cute place! Stayed the weekend here for a birthday getaway; 10 min away from Dillon Beach and 25 min away from Petaluma. The park was right next door so it was a breeze to get our pup out for a walk/bathroom break from the hotel. Check in was super easy, communication was awesome. Hotel was very clean, spacious and dog friendly (A PLUS!). We did not have too many issues with the noise since I read the reviews and expected some noise. We will absolutely be back.
