Shazia’s place is exactly how it’s described in the listing! What stands out is her hospitality, you feel right at home since the moment you enter the place. There are 2 lovely and friendly pets in the house that made our trip much nicer. Shazia provided a lot of local recommendations that are worth checking out. She’s very helpful and accommodating and I would certainly book with her again whenever I visit next! Thanks, Shazia!

The apartment is in a residential area (almost in Thamel) and is a couple of stories above where Shazia and her family live. I think this is what made the stay feel like a home- the beautifully tended garden and the entire building is so clean & tastefully decorated. The apartment is surprisingly large with all the basics for cooking and an extraction fan in kitchen (and bathroom). It was great briefly meeting Shazia’s family. It was the perfect balance of having our own privacy while enjoying a place that is maintained only as a home can be. We walked in to Thamel to the French Creperie and Pumpernickel Cafe for brunch every day. It took around 10 minutes to walk. We bought eggs and really fresh tomatoes, eggplants, capsicums, onions and garlic from vendors 2 minutes from the apartment and cooked ourselves dinner most nights. It was the perfect place to recuperate after a few months of travel due to the space, the large kitchen, the comfortable living arrangements and lovely owners.

Extremely satisfied with my stay at this property. It is a family-run business and provides a very safe and secure environment. The room was very large, very clean, and had a fully equipped kitchen. There was a large attached balcony. It's a bit far from Thamel and there are no good restaurants at a convenient distance, but I was able to order food using FoodMandu. The highlight was host communication, they were always available over messages and were very prompt to respond. A big Thanks to Shazia/family to help me with taxi booking early morning.
