The treehouse is at the very edge of Walker Pond. You and your guest are welcome to enjoy our 40 acres of forest/wetland, go canoeing in our canoe, soak in the custom made cedar hot tub, or just enjoy having a private holiday.
The treehouse is located just 5 minutes from downtown Newport and is 22 minutes to Jay Peak Ski Resort.
Walker Pond treehouse is partially supported by two White Pines that are along the shoreline of Walker Pond. The treehouse has a main level, consisting of a kitchen area, sitting space, and a bathroom.
Climb the winding tree staircase to the bedroom into the bedroom, which has a cathedral ceiling exposed with hand hewn cedar rafters. This room has a queen size bed (memory foam mattress), wall mounted LCD TV, reading bench, and a tiny closet.
There is plenty of glass and windows, so you get the best views of the pond and field. Sunny/breezy afternoons bring the sparkle of the pond into the treehouse. It really is beautiful!
Unique in design, this rustic treehouse will be fully functioning with all the essentials provided to make your stay comfortable. Also included, there will be a private deck overlooking the pond, a rustic hot tub, mini kitchen, grill, TV, etc.
You will have access to the land and pond, so we invite you to go on a nature walk or go canoeing. You never know what kinds of animals you might see! So far we have seen moose, deer, bear, turkey, geese, ducks, heron, owls, otter, huge turtles, fish, and frogs.... just to name a few. Get your camera ready!
While we border 20 acres of farmland, you may often see cows grazing. They are very peaceful and may greet you if they see that you are offering them grass.

There’s no way to describe how gorgeous this space is. The hosts are so nice and they clearly go the extra mile to make sure your stay is comfortable and welcoming. The treehouse is stunning and clean and peaceful. We enjoyed every second of our stay.
Such an incredible place! From the outstanding views, to the craftsmanship, we couldn’t believe what a perfect place we had, all to ourselves. Andrew and Marilou were so kind and welcoming and made sure everything was accommodating and taken care of. We enjoyed everything from the waffles, to the hot tub, the canoe to the chairs set up for sunset views. We mostly enjoyed the deck, which was cool in the summer heat and just has the most incredible views of the pond. The best part was the book they leave for their guests. It has so many great suggestions, which really helped us find fun and relaxing things to do in an area we didn’t know. We would love to go back to this small peace of heaven!
Simply can't find a better getaway in Vermont. Amazing , tranquil , serene, I loved every second and can't wait to go back!
This Treehouse is so relaxing and beautifully kept. The views are amazing from the deck especially at sunset and it was hard to leave the hot tub because it was just so peaceful. Although weather did not allow a fire, the views from sitting in that area are still wonderful! With only a couple other homes on the lake, we had the entire lake to ourselves for canoeing which was super nice and peaceful. Although there are some restaurants nearby a lot were closed for half the week, so I would definitely recommend getting some stuff for grilling, the views and food are probably better then what you would get elsewhere anyway (although West Side Market down the street had great food especially to take on a picnic or hike or breakfast)! It was also a nice touch that they left stuff to make waffles in the morning that were really tasty! I highly recommend everybody to book this place for a nice getaway!
These super hosts are all stars of that category. The place was everything described and more . In fact, though the provided pictures on the site description are beautiful, the Tree House is actually MORE amazing then the pictures . The decor & details of this amazingly constructed property with all the appointed amenities described by the host is EXACTLY as described in the Tree House !!!! The morning routine became an obsession of the provided waffles along with Vermont’s signature pure maple syrup out on the deck every morning overlooking the pond .. We really enjoyed taking the canoes out for a peaceful journey to experience the wildlife of the surroundings.... Soaking in the cedar hot tub on the deck of the Tree House every evening is the ultimate exclamation point to this very peaceful & tranquil environment .... .. We absolutely loved the experience and can go on and on about this place . We will return !!!!
Newport is a beautiful town that is growing and it is the gateway between New England and Canada. The city lies on the southern shore of Lake Memphremagog. On the western side of the 30-mile lake rises Owl’s Head. Its 3,360 foot summit offers impressive views.
There is plenty to do and see while visiting. From bicycling, fishing, hiking, paddling, sailing, boating, horseback riding to cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, and snowmobiling. Newport, Vermont is a mecca of outdoor recreation year round.
Newport also has fine great restaurants on the water and artisan local foods for all you foodies out there.
Jay Peak Mountain and Resort is only 17 miles away. You can visit any time of the year. Of course, they have skiing and riding, but all year round they have an indoor water park, ice arena, spa, restaurants, and shopping.
It is best to have a car. Also during winter time, it is best to have winter tires on your car or all wheel drive system. This will make driving easier and getting in and out of the long driveway from our property safer and to prevent getting stuck.
Marilou and I are a very easy-going married couple, enjoying life in Vermont. We have lived in our state for over 30 years and have lived in Waterford since the year 2000 with our children, where we started our original treecabin in the woods, September 2011. Recently on July 1st 2021, we sold our Waterford home and have moved north to Coventry Vermont to build a new home and be closer to our Walker Pond treehouse, our second treehouse. We are still growing and plans to build more unique treehouse. Now that we only have the Coventry property, we still have the Treehouse on Walker Pond and the Osprey Cabin for you to enjoy. Although, Osprey Cabin will be available for rental starting summer 2022. We hope you visit us and check out the property! Also, hope you will enjoy your stay and gain experience from it all, the buildings and the settings. Vermont environment has a lot to offer, from fishing to skiing, hiking, snowshoeing, swimming, exploring, and trecking or just relaxing. Vermont is the right place for these activities. And if you are just looking for solitude and some peacefulness, our property has that to offer for you. We hope to see you soon and welcome you to our treehouse and cabin!
