The George and Dragon Inn has two excellently appointed apartments located on the first and second floors above and behind the bars and restaurant below, which are located on the level with the centre of the picturesque town of Dartmouth, just 200m from the river embankment and 2mils walk to the historic Dartmouth Castle, and the secluded Castle Cove and Sugary Cove. Dragon's Nest is the largest apartment on the second floor of the building (top floor). Overview Dragon's Nest is a large two double bedroom apartment that has recently been created in a historic building dating back to the early 1800's at least, with a wealth of exposed original oak A-Frame beams in the living area and kitchen. It is beautifully decorated throughout, with a fresh modern style and top quality fixtures, fittings and furnishings. There are 2 private front door entrances from the street at the rear of the George & Dragon. Dragons Nest Apartment has a Private Front Door on the second floor, which is up two flights of stairs from the shared front door to the street. The second flight of stairs is rather narrow and curved, following the historic structure of the building, so please be aware and take care if some members of the party are younger or more mature in age. Kitchen/Dining Room The kitchen dining room is open plan with exposed beams, multiple kitchen units and appliances, fixed against the walls and under the double worktops. The natural wood and cream extendable dining table, with and four chairs, is in front of the window, with views to the river and the harbour to the sea. This room has a modern warm red, black and cream colour scheme, the brand new appliances including a built in Whirlpool fan-oven and induction hob, a Bosch dishwasher and washing machine, an under the counter fridge, plus a four-slot toaster, microwave, kettle and a coffee percolator etc. Living Room - Lounge The large and attractive lounge / living room is also decorated in stylish neutral modern colours and textiles, with more exposed original oak A-Frame beams. There is ample comfortable seating with two large and deep, two-seater sofas and two medium sized bean bags, enough for all the family, with a large 65" Samsung flat screen Smart TV Bedrooms Dragon's Nest has two double bedrooms, each with a superking size bed. Both bedrooms are decorated in a simple style in neutral colours and modern natural wood and cream furniture, again all is to a high standard. Bathroom The bathroom is located at the same end of the central hallway and between the doors to the two bedrooms. The modern bathroom has white tiles, offset with grey grout and painted walls, and includes a large, modern, safety-glass fronted, walk-in shower, which is chrome finished and within the shower are shelves for your toiletries. Behind the shower you'll find a clothes airing rack and ironing board.
