We had a great stay at the house in Warkworth. It was cosy and warm. The gas fire was just what we needed after a day getting drenched. In a great location. Lovely Riverwalk metres from the property. Short walk to Warkworth Castle. Nice pubs metres away. House was equipped with everything we needed.

We had a great weekend. Nice walks locally and good local pub for a drink and meal. Lots of space in the cottage and good facilities for cooking meals in too.

Communication with the owner was easy and Julia responded quickly when we had a query regarding the heating talking us through fixing the issue. Accommodation was in line with description and expectations and clearly much loved by the owner who I understands uses it often. Location is good for exploring the delights of the local area. There are a few bits that could do with a tiny bit of tlc, such as replacement lightbulb etc but nothing that you wouldn’t expect to find in your own home - hence not 5 stars across the board, although I’m a self confessed tough marker. All in all an enjoyable stay and we agreed our favourite yet.
