Dana is a great host and super responsive. always checking up and making sure we were good. we are returning and the place is just what you see!
STAY HERE….it is perfect! My husband and I drive from Tn to attend a few FSU football games each year. We brought my mother and father in law and my littles this time for their first game, we found Carrabelle which is not far from Tallahassee. We enjoyed that Carrabelle was small, peaceful l, and close to the beach. People here are very friendly. The pictures of the home do not do this place JUSTICE. As for our stay at Tipsy Turtle we felt safe, comfortable, and slept good. The home is beautiful and we enjoyed learning about the history of it. Tipsy Turtle was very clean which is always a plus with us. Dana has the home stocked with coffee, cookware, and utensils. I also really appreciated her friendly communication, she made us feel welcomed. We can’t wait to stay here again and hopefully for longer than a weekend.

Welcome to the Tipsy Turtle! Stanley and Dana love living the Lanark Life and hope you will too. This quaint quintessential coastal getaway is located in the charming community of Lanark Village, a hidden gem near the historic towns of Carrabelle and Apalachicola, Florida. The Tipsy Turtle has everything you need for a relaxing, fun-filled escape. The open living area is perfect for group fun and numerous recliners can be utilized as additional sleepers if needed. It is ideal for couples, families, artists, writers, fishing enthusiasts, history buffs, photographers and solo adventurers. Lanark Village, built in the 1940's as an amphibious military training facility (Camp Gordon Johnston) is now home to many full and part-time residents. Camp Gordon Johnston's WWII Museum is located in nearby Carrabelle and was established as a testament to honor and preserve the heritage of the soldiers who trained at the camp during WWII. Lanark Village is a friendly enclave offering a community atmosphere with close proximity to some of the best saltwater and freshwater fishing along The Forgotten Coast of the Florida panhandle.
