The area is lovely and the house is decent. Some things were great, such as lots of kitchen supplies and a beautiful big lot, but some things were left to be desired, such that you have to bring your own bedding, towels, pillows and blankets - quite inconvenient. The dining tables inside and outside only accommodated 6 people and there were no extra chairs, so we couldn't all eat together (there were 8 of us). The second house is nice and quiet, but was not the cleanest and had stains on the mattresses. Generally we thought it was nice but overpriced (about 700 CAD per night). The owner communicated well and made the stay easy, there were lots of activities (games, fire pit, canoes) and the lake was beautiful.

The cabin is as pictured although a bit smaller than it appears in the pictures, the large windows facing the backyard and lake are gorgeous! Be mindful that you need to bring all of your bedding in, including pillows so that may be complicated if you’re coming in from out of town or don’t have much space in your car! Also bring hand towels and bath mats as this is not provided either. Unfortunately we weren’t able to enjoy the lake as there was algae bloom the week we were there, but Shawn recommended a beach close by and the neighbours Dan and Mary went above and beyond to show us other places that were swimmable. The large back yard was great for kids as they had lots of space to run around in and entertain themselves even without the lake! The garage loft worked out really well for one family in our group that had a young infant and they could take the baby over there for their naps throughout the day and be away from the noisy main cottage with the rest of the kids! Great stay
