Elk Run is the perfect place for a getaway from a bustling city. I traveled from Tampa, FL to this beautiful cabin and it had everything we needed to get away from the city life. Barbara gave us perfect directions on how to get to the cabin from 83, but I do suggest getting there before dark since the cabin is nestled. The cabin is also on a dirt road, so 4 wheel drive is preferred. There was plenty to do at Elk Run. There was fire for a bonfire, games in the cabin, and plenty of trails to walk around on. There was also great wildlife and a little ways from the cabin is a mercantile and the Hungry Bear was a fantastic place to eat as well (15 minutes from cabin). If you are looking for a fantastic place to get away from life, this is it. The stars and moon at night were magical and the Mountain Views spectacular!!!

We got stuck on the road to the cabin multiple times. It was so bad we couldn’t stay we alerted the host and she refunded one of four nights to us. Huge waste.

We were happy to have a retreat on a long weekend in a beautiful spot. Some of the best hikes in the Swan Valley are close by. The cabins are rustic but have everything we needed.

Great spot off the beaten path. We rented a couple cabins and stayed a week. Definitely want to come back during the summer!

I had a very peaceful stay. The cabin was cozy and had everything I needed. The views were gorgeous!
