Fantastiskt mysigt ställe med jättesöta hundar! Var beredd att promenera lite då centrum ligger åt andra hållet från tågstationen. Men samtidigt är det detta som ger stället charm, att det ligger lite utanför. Vi såg även lite norrsken där en kväll 🤩 avslappnat ställe där man känner att man bara ”kan vara” 🙂

We stayed in the Husky Lodge for 6 days. It looks beautiful when you’re arriving, a bit outside the city but that was just what we were looking for. Due to flight delays, we arrived at 8 p.m. and nobody was there to check us in. We didn’t even find anyone in the whole area. After a while, a tourguide told us to wait inside the entrance area for a moment. We waited for approximately 1h which was really not what we had expected after our long travel. We never met mats himself, just were in contact with him via mail to ask him if there were any tours available. The contact was always friendly and he replied quickly. The lodge itself is nice, however the toilet is used by everyone. Also the people that are not staying there but only booked a tour. We saw nobody cleaning the rooms, bathroom or kitchen at any time so we did it ourselves and even vacuum cleaned the whole lodge. After check-out, only the bed sheets will be removed, that’s it. I expected a bit more in times of a global pandemic. Breakfast was fine, you can choose between toast, cornflakes and knäckebread. They also offer yoghurt, Marmelade, cheese etc. The breakfast is stored in a fridge that is completely filled up. So if you are thinking about bringing anything for lunch or dinner: there is no space left. We also used the sauna. This area looks nice (also not very clean) but the sauna only heats up to 50 degrees. So don’t expect to much from that. We still enjoyed our stay at the lodge, but we wouldn’t not stay here again.

We stayed at the Husky Lodge just for a night and enjoyed the comfy beds, stylish sauna and strong breakfast in the morning. We didn't meet Mats but the staff who welcomed us at the site was very friendly and helpful - even offered us a ride back to town on the check-out day and recommended a nice café to visit. And the dogs were great! What didn't go so well was the communication before the check-in. We didn't get any replies on Airbnb for more than a week (also couldn't reach them by phone) and besides being left alone with our questions we were left wondering if our booking has been noticed at all. Finally we got a short reply after contacting via email which we found on their official website. Maybe it was all just a bad coincidence - but we were never apologized for this or explained about this either... P.S. for the sauna-lovers: The sauna was stylish and cozy but the stone heater was too small for the size of the room so the temperature goes up to 50°-60° C the most. So don't get your expectations too high if you prefer your sauna hot :)

The house was beautiful and super clean, there is everything that you will need for you long or short term stay and what is most important - Mats is super polite and helpful host and contact with him was just perfect! :) I can guarantee that you will feel there like at home, totally recommend the place :)
