Joseph, Oregon is a western style small town in northeastern Oregon's Wallowa County, next to beautiful Wallowa Lake. For a small town, there is so much to do whatever your tastes. Joseph has it all with everything from a renowned art community with life-size bronzes lining Main Street and literary events like Fish Trap held annually here, Chief Joseph Days Rodeo, Joseph Car Show, Thunder Run for motorcycle enthusiasts, to Wallowa Lake Tramway, a gondola that will take you to the summit of Mt. Howard where there is a restaurant with tasty treats, hiking, some of the most gorgeous views you will see in your life, to restaurants, fishing, hunting, boating, swimming, hiking, camping, a rich history ... the list goes on! We are only minutes away to all these things. Wallowa Lake is also the gateway to some of the best hiking, hunting and fishing in the world in the great Eagle Cap Wilderness and the Wallowa Mountains.

Although we are at the heart of downtown Joseph with restaurants, shopping and other services just around the corner, a vehicle is recommended to take advantage of the many wonderful outdoor activities in the area. There is shuttle service between the town of Wallowa, OR and the Village at Wallowa Lake during spring, summer and fall called Community Connections running every hour.
