This place was very unique. Rustic, but stylish. Hip, but peaceful. Chanatat was always very quick to reply and communicated well. We planned a camping trip in Khao Yai national park, but decided to stay a night in a tube room in Hilltop colony so we could leave Bangkok in the afternoon and be not far from the park the next morning. TUBE ROOMS: The tube rooms are small. Basically just some room at the entrance to put your bags and then an elevated mat to sleep on. That was fine with us, very much like sleeping in a tent with a mat + air conditioning. If you want something bigger or more comfortable I think they are available although I didn't check them out. The tube room was something different and interesting for us. HILLTOP COLONY: There is an outdoor kitchen area, tables and chairs, a bean bag lounge, bathrooms and showers, open space to walk around, good lighting at night, and our favorite- charcoal grills and a fire pit! Neither of which are allowed in the parks. LOCATION: Fine if you are driving yourself. But beware that if you plan on relying on other transportation, you should arrange it before. A tip: Coming from BKK, we used BOLT and the car was about half the price as GRAB. But getting out, BOLT was not available at all in that location and there were no nearby GRAB drivers. We kinda got ourselves stuck like that, but thankfully the friendly staff called a friend to come pick us up and take us to the entrance of Khao Yai (or it could have been other places where getting transportation was easier). Overall, we really enjoyed our experience there! Everything was as advertised and expected. We had a great night!
