Welcome to our studio apartment flooded with great natural light nestled in the heart of Porto’s downtown historic centre. We’ve given the space a total renovation in June 2023 so everything is fresh and improved with a new sofa and seating, smart tv, shower and bathroom accessories as well as improved lighting and the latest fast secure internet. Located in one of the most vibrant and culturally rich neighbourhoods in town, it’s the perfect spot for those who want an authentic experience in this captivating city. Step outside and into the charming cobblestone streets, colourful facades and centuries old architecture that surround our doorstep. You wont need to rely on taxis, metro or buses because most of Porto's major attractions are less than a 10-min walk away: Sao Bento, Porto Cathedral, Bolhao Market, Rua das Flores, the stunning Ribeira shoreline, the iconic Dom Luis bridge and so much more. And whether you’re a seasoned wine connoisseur or simply enjoy discovering new flavours the proximity of Gaia’s port houses are just a leisurely walk across the bridge located just by the apartment while the growing trend of the natural wine scene in Portugal has seen the emergence of local and hipster bars dedicated to this vibrant culture, many within walking distance. And when you want to venture further, Sao Bento train and metro station is less than a 5-min walk from here making it super convenient to explore other parts of the city and its beaches. Our place perfectly combines modern comforts with old world charm guaranteeing you an unforgettable stay right in the heart of downtown Porto. The location of this apartment is great, however, there’s too many flaws to recommend it. It’s incredibly loud (can hear movements of everyone else in the building at all hours), the host supplied the bare minimum ammenities (one coffee pod, one tea bag, etc), and the bed is as hard as a rock. When following up with the host as there was only one towel and one roll of toilet paper (for two guests for 3 nights) the host didn’t apologise and when they provided another towel it was half the size of the initial towel we were provided. It felt like there was no effort made to ensure we had a comfortable stay!
Tolle Tage in Porto. Die Wohnung von Marta war ordentlich und gemütlich hergerichtet. Es war alles da und sauber was wir brauchten, und es gab sogar eine Waschmaschine. Den Regentag konnten wir gemütlich mit Netflix vor dem Fernseher verbringen. Die Koffer durften wir bis zum Check-in im Büro deponieren, was sehr hilfreich für unseren ersten Rundgang durch die Stadt war. Am letzten Abend zogen leider spät abends sehr laute Menschen in eine Nachbarwohnung ein, da kann aber Marta nichts dafür. Ansonsten war das Haus angenehm ruhig. Die Gegend war nicht ganz so mein Ding. Marta als Gastgeberin ist auf jeden Fall zu empfehlen.
Great location for exploring Porto. Felt very central and a great base to see the sights. Close to central train and bus station. Apartment was well equipped, comfy, and good for a couple. Cosy for more than 2 people. Only criticism is there is a leak from neighbour upstairs’ shower, which drips to just next to the bed. Could be quite loud at night. The host advised they were aware and it was in the process of being fixed.
