Maureen is a super host for a reason - we were not want for anything and the property can't be beat. Peaceful and quiet, with a stunning view of Mt Shasta. Love the jacuzzi and the room was cozy and perfectly heated. She was also thoughtful enough to include snacks, beverages, and sundries. Better than any high-end hotel I've ever stayed at! Centrally located to all sorts of hiking trails and short drives to the 3 towns of Weed, Mt Shasta and Dunsmuir that had a host of breweries, restaurants and shops.

Staying at Mimi’s house was the best decision ever! My experiences in both Mt. Shasta and at Mimi’s house were completely magical. My trip was very spontaneous, so I somewhat hectically planned out what to see and do during my 3 night stay, and after the first day I found myself wanting to spend time on Mimi’s property instead of trying to fill up my days with sightseeing. I couldn’t get enough of the view of Mt. Shasta and the beautiful nature surrounding the property. Waking up to see the sunrise was totally worth it, and the sunsets took my breath away. I’ve never taken so many landscape pictures in my life! I also loved the animals around Mimi’s place—hummingbirds, quails, hares, chipmunks, and her cute dog and cat. The bedroom was perfect and the bed was super comfy. Great water pressure in the shower. Literally anything I could have needed was provided. And finally, I gotta say Mimi was the most spectacular host and I feel like we’re family now. I will definitely be back!

Maureen is a super host for a reason. She was an amazing host and anticipated her guests needs. The location is incredibly beautiful and the perfect place to decompress and enjoy nature. I wish I could have stayed longer.

Hi My name is Maureen, but I have always gone by Mimi. My passion is all the outdoors and nature. When I retired my Husband and I moved to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city. We both fell in love with our place in Weed at the foot the Mt Shasta Mountain. For the most part it is still untouched and abounds with Deer, Chipmunks, Quail, Coyotes, Kangaroo Rats and Rabbits to name a few. My husband is part Native American and we have always tried to lived in harmony with nature. It is our pleasure to share our beautiful area with you.
